Nov 10-14

Objectives:

  • Choose a side of the argument and identify reasons that support my choice.
  • Support an argument with textual evidence ("word for word" support) found in credible sources.
  • Acknowledge counter claims
  • Present argument in a formal style that include an introduction, supporting details with transitions, and provide a concluding statement that supports argument.

  • Read the mentor text and find the claim, support, intro, and conclusion, underline and write in the margins.
